CARSA hosts Generation Health Community group with Cameron Trim leading the physical activities
The DHL team works closely with the Childhood Healthy Living Foundation to support the ongoing evaluation of the Generation Health Community family-based healthy living program. Generation Health Community has been popular with participating families and is constantly increasing their reach to include more parents and kids across BC.
We are excited that UVic has been hosting a brand-new GH program site at CARSA this fall, with our very own Cameron Trim serving as Physical Activity Facilitator!
Having a Generation Health Community site hosted at CARSA feels like bringing the program “home,” since UVic has been the Generation Health team’s Vancouver Island home base since the program inception. It is especially meaningful to see one of our EPHE graduate students working as a physical activity facilitator on-site!
Cameron has held many other roles within the Generation Health program over the years. He reguarly serves as assistant within the Generation Health Community central team in addition to his role as a Master’s student in the Digital Health Lab at UVic.
